ABOUT THE AUTHOR

JOYCE KWIDAMA

my story

“My story wasn't written to explain my past,
but to give others their future back.”

Joyce Kwidama is a teacher, trainer, therapist, and writer.
But above all, she is a woman who knows life from the inside out. With a powerful and clear voice, she speaks about faith, healing, family patterns, and the courage to start over.

In addition to the book '5 minutes to 12 is not yet 12', Joyce developed affirmation and quote cards, designed to remind you daily of your strength, your faith, and your direction. These are a perfect addition to your reading process, or as an anchor in a new phase of your life.

Joyce Kwidama is an author, forensic specialist, and MDFT (Multidimensional Family Therapy) therapist, specializing in EMDR and EFT, among others.

Additionally, she is a lecturer, coach, and entrepreneur with deep expertise in trauma, systemic work, and personal development. With her expertise and human connection, she helps her clients not only understand what shaped them, but above all, who they can become beyond their pain.
Born in Curaçao, Joyce grew up in a close-knit family where care, responsibility, and resilience were second nature. That foundation of connection and inner strength forms the core of her work to this day. She knows from experience that no one is separate from their history and that healing begins with recognition.

Joyce works from a deeply rooted Christian conviction that provides direction and stability to her life and guidance. At the same time, she meets everyone with openness and respect, regardless of their background or life story. Her mission is clear: to help women return to themselves before life forces them to do so. This conviction forms the foundation of her book *5 voor 12 is nog geen 12 uur* (5 to 12 is not yet 12 o'clock).

FOR EVERY WOMAN WHO BROKE ON THE INSIDE BUT KEPT SMILING ON THE OUTSIDE
